  Daylight Savings Time  3/2007

Recent changes in Daylight Savings Time require updates to computing systems on the ESF and SU Campuses. Two years ago, the U.S. Congress voted to extend Daylight Savings Time as an energy-saving measure. The new Daylight Savings Time schedule will go into effect on March 11, when people across the nation will turn their clocks ahead one hour and will end the first Sunday in November. The new Daylight Savings Time schedule requires changes to all devices that automatically manage Daylight Savings Time. Personal Computers and computer applications are most affected by these changes.
