my ESF Password
What is my ESF Password?
A Student's ESF Password is the same password that they use to
gain access to the 'ESF
Student Services Portal.' An ESF Password, along with its
ESF NetID and
Domain, is sensitive information and should be carefully guarded
by each individual.
Changing your ESF Password on the Student Services Portal page:
To change your ESF password on the Student Services Portal, you
must already know the current password for your ESF NetID. You will
be prompted to Log on to the system before you can click on the
'Change password' link. When you click on the Change password link,
you will be asked to enter and then confirm your new password
choice. You must wait up to 15 minutes for the password change to be
available throughout all ESF systems, including the ESF Campus
Network and the Evergreen Wireless Network.
ESF Student Default Password:
If you have never checked your records at the Student Services
Portal Web site, then your password has not yet been set and a
default password has been assigned to you. Your default password is
8 digits long. The first 4 digits are the last four digits of your
Social Security Number (SSN). The next 2 digits are the month that
you were born, and the last 2 digits are the day of the month that
you were born. If a student was born on April 1 and has a SSN of
123-45-6789, then their default password is: 67890401. The first
time you use the default password on the above Web site, you are
forced to change it. The password that you set after logging-on with
your default password is the one that you will use to log on to the
Records System and other systems such as the Evergreen Wireless
Network. The change takes place system-wide 10 -15 minutes after you
set your password on the Student Service Portal Web site.
You essentially activate your ESF NetID by following the default
password procedure described above.
If you have never visited the ESF
Student Services Portal (myESF) before: You should
visit this Web page and
log-on with your ESF NetID and standard
default password before
attempting to use any of the systems on the ESF Campus Network such as
the Evergreen Wireless Network.
