Before beginning, please close all open applications
except your internet browser. You must be logged in to your
PC as a user with administrative privileges. |

To have SciFinder Scholar 2006 automatically
installed on your computer, please click the link below. |
|
|
When asked, choose run/open -- this message will
differ depending on your operating system/browser. If you receive a
security warning, press the Yes button to proceed with the
installation. |

|
The installation will proceeded automatically.
Your PC should restart when the process is
complete. If it does not, please restart
manually. |

This software can only be used on computers on the
ESF Campus Network. It cannot be configured to work Off-Campus using
the Syracuse University's Proxy Server.

Download SciFinder Scholar 2006
sfs2006-osx.dmg (a Macintosh Disk Image File) to your desktop or
a download folder on your OS X drive.
|
|
|
Double-click "sfs2006-osx.dmg" to mount SciFinder
Scholar (a Desktop Volume containing the SciFinder Scholar 2006
Application Package).
|
|
|
Open the SciFinder Scholar 2006 Desktop Volume, if
it does not auto-open, and choose "as Icons" for the View.
|
|
|
Drag and drop the SciFinder Scholar 2006 Application
Package (~21.9 MB) to your Applications folder. (The Application
Package will be the SciFinder Scholar 2006 "icon" on the white
button-like background in Icons view)
|
|
|
Eject (Unmount) the desktop SciFinder Scholar 2006
Volume.
|
|
|
(Optional) Create a "SciFinder Scholar 2006" alias
(shortcut) to the SciFinder Scholar 2006 Application Package for
your dock or desktop.
