  ESF email Web Access

To use ESF email Web Access, type the following address in the Address bar of your Web browser:

http://Webmail.esf.edu

How you will be asked to log in to the system will depend on your operating system.

Windows XP (2 line login prompt):

When you are prompted with a 2 line login request, it is necessary to also include the Domain to which your user account belongs. At this time, all user accounts belong to the ESFADMIN domain. Given this, you should enter your username as follows: ESFADMIN\username (where username is the user name assigned to you by Computing and Network Services). Note that the slash used in this example is referred to as a 'back-slash' and is located above the Enter key on most desktop PC keyboards.

Windows 98, Me, and 2000 (3 line login prompt):

When you are prompted with a 3 line login request, enter your user information as if you were logging in to the ESF Campus network. At this time, all users should enter ESFADMIN for the Domain.

General email Web Access rules:

bulletPop-up blockers or incorrectly altered browser security settings may cause this page to load improperly.

bulletBecause the ESF email Web Access system is a Microsoft system, using Internet explorer on a PC running the Windows operating system will yield the most consistent results.

bulletThis version of the ESF email Web Access system is best used via a broad-band access provider (such as a Cable or DSL Internet access provider). Dial-up users have reported slow performance.

  Where is my email?

If you receive your email on Campus and are using Outlook with Personal Folders, you will not have access to items that have already been received when using ESF email Web Access.

  Internet Explorer and Windows

Because the ESF email Web Access system is a Microsoft system, using Internet explorer on a PC running the Windows operating system will yield the most consistent results.
