MaintiMizer Initial Install

 

Physical Plant Employee MaintiMizer first time self installation.

Getting the MaintiMizer application running on you PC is a 4 step process...

 

Step 1: Reboot your PC

 

Please reboot your PC and login properly prior to continuing.

 

Step 2: Installation

 

bulletClick on the link below to begin the installation process.

 

Install MaintiMizer Now.

 

bulletWhen asked to either 'Save' or 'Open'/'Run,' Choose to 'Open' or 'Run' the linked file. You may need to acknowledge more than one security warning after making this selection.
bulletAt the ‘Install the MaintiMizer Client’ prompt, click ‘Yes.’
bulletClick ‘Next’ three times when prompted, then click ‘Install’
bulletClick ‘No’ when prompted: ‘Do you wish to view the ReadMe file?’
bulletClick ‘Finish’ when the first installation is complete. The second installation will start automatically.
bulletClick ‘Next’ two times then ‘Install’ to continue the second installation.
bulletClick ‘No’ when prompted: ‘Do you wish to view the ReadMe file?’
bulletClick ‘Finish’ to finish the second installation. The third installation will start automatically.
bulletClick ‘Next’ two times then ‘Install’ to continue the third installation.
bulletClick ‘Finish’ to finish the third installation.
bulletClick ‘OK’ when prompted with the message “The MaintiMizer installation is complete."

 

Step 3: Testing

After Step 1 is complete, a communications test will automatically start. All Communications must be tested before the application can be used.

 

Test 1:

 

In the space provided, type ‘maintimizer’ (without the quotes -- see below) to start the Test Network Communication phase. Click ‘Next’ to run the test. If the test fails, note any errors and contact Computing and Network Services.

 

 

Click ‘Next’ to continue to the next test.

 

Test 2:

 

When prompted by the ‘Test Transactional Engine’ screen, delete ‘c:\samples’ in the space provided and type ‘M:\PVSW\samples’ (without the quotes -- see below). Click 'Next' to perform the test. If the test fails, note any errors and contact Computing and Network Services.

 

 

When the test is finished, click ‘Next’ for the final test.

 

Test 3:

 

When prompted by the test ‘Test Relational Engine,' click ‘Next’ to perform the test. If the test fails, note any errors and contact Computing and Network Services.

 

 

Finally, click ‘Next’ and then ‘Finish’ to complete testing and finalize the installation.

Step 4: Running

 

To start the MaintiMizer application:

 

bulletDouble-click ‘MaintiMizer’ icon on the desktop to start the application.
bulletEnter ‘Supervisor’ and ‘ATI’ as the username and password respectively, and click ‘Log in.'

 

Optional:

To free up space on your PCs hard drive after the installation is complete, delete the following folder and its contents: C:\MaintInstall.

 

 

MaintiMizer Update 1

(Update to version 3.5 Build 105)

 

To Update your installation of the Maintimizer, follow these steps:

 

bulletClick the link below to update the existing MaintiMizer version 3.5 to version 3.5 Build 105.
 
bulletWhen prompted, choose 'Open' or 'Run' and then 'Run' again.

 

bulletClick ‘Next’ three times then ‘Install.'

 

bulletClick ‘No’ when asked to ‘View Readme File?’ then ‘Finish’ to close the setup window.

 

To test the application, double-click the MaintiMizer icon on the desktop. It should now show the update version (Version 3.5.105N – 5 User). There should be no need to reboot the PC after the update is finished.

 

Start the MaintiMizer update.
